Modelling and Simulation Seminar Series
The Modelling and Simulation seminar series at the Faculty of Science and Engineering of the University of Manchester (UK) is co-organised by the Solid Mechanics alongwith the Modelling and Simulation Group.
Seminar content
The seminar covers a range of topics in solid and fluid mechanics with focus on theoretical and computational methods. There are three different session types over a month.
- Two are standard seminar lectures that is of greater interest to either the solid or fluid mechanics community. These are held on weeks 02 and 04 of the month.
- The third is a learning session on topics of general interest to the students. For example: machine learning with TensorFlow or writing your first LBM code etc. These are held on weeks 01, 03 and 05 of the month.
Date, time and duration
The seminars are always held on the Tuesdays between 3 - 4pm with 45 min (presentation) + 15 min (Q&A).
